According to the reports, the 25-men list for the Asian Games 2023 Hangzhou has been sent for the approval to the organizers.
The Asian Games is an Under-23 Tournament for men’s football, where nations send their U-23 squad with three overage exceptions.
All India Football Federation has sent the name of 25 members for the competition in which names of Captain Sunil Chhetri, centre-back Sandesh Jhingan, and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu are included. Earlier, they were absent owing to some complications at the top. But President Kalyan Chaubey has worked on it and solved the issue.
When the trio’s names were not there in the list of the U-23 Indian Football Team, AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey sent a personal request and a letter to the organizers for the accreditations of three players. The official confirmation from him said that Sunil Chhetri, Sandesh Jhingan, and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu are definitely going to participate in the Asiad.
It is believed that the three players were unsure about their participation in the tournament, but later they changed their minds about their participation.

The experienced trio will help the young ones to play against the strong opponents in the group, as Sunil Chhetri will lead the squad from the attack, and Sandesh Jhinghan and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu will be there to provide leadership from the back.
The U-23 Indian Football Team are with the host China PR, Myanmar, and Bangladesh in Group A, U23 Indian squad will travel to China earlier for their AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers to face host China PR, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Maldives in Group G. But the venue which group stage matches will be host on Dalian Sports Centre Stadium, Dalian.
The upcoming fixtures of the U-23 Indian Football Team are important for their performances as they going to represent the nation in Asia’s biggest tournament and the performance must need from the players also they are going to be watched by the nation.
