After the stylish conclusion of 2023 for Indian Football, with an impressive record of 14 matches played – securing 6 wins, 5 draws, 3 losses, and clinching 3 trophies. The Blue Tigers are poised to make a grand entrance into 2024. Under the guidance of Coach Igor Stimac and the recent addition of former Manchester City player Trevor Sinclair to the coaching staff, the team is gearing up for significant challenges.

The hopes of 1.4 billion people rest on the shoulders of the Blue Tigers as they embark on the final Asian Cup campaign for the Indian Captain and Legend. In 2024, India is set to compete in both the AFC Asian Cup and the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, with discussions underway for friendlies against other countries, as per AIFF plans.

Drawn into Group B in the AFC Asian Cup, India faces formidable opponents like Australia, with the first match scheduled on January 13th at 5 pm IST. Subsequent clashes include a match against Uzbekistan on January 18th at 8 pm IST and the final group stage game against Syria on January 23rd at 5 pm IST.

Amidst a grand welcome in Qatar, the Blue Tigers are ready to showcase their prowess. Despite the absence of a pre-tournament camp and key players like Anwar Ali, Ashique, Jeakson. The squad, comprising 26 lads selected by Gaffer Igor Stimac, is diligently practicing and giving their best in training sessions.
