Connor Shields, hailing from Coatbridge, Scotland, began his football career at Albion Rovers. Starting in their academy and youth setups, he steadily climbed the ranks. After gaining valuable experience in the reserve team, Shields earned a well-deserved promotion to Albion Rovers’ senior squad in preparation for the 2015-16 season. Known for his explosive pace and attacking prowess, Shields showcases promising potential in the world of football.

After impressing at Albion Rovers, Connor Shields made a move to England by joining Sunderland in January 2018. However, Shields’ tenure at Sunderland was short-lived as the club subsequently loaned him out to Alloa Athletic for a six-month period. During this temporary stint, Shields had the opportunity to gain further experience and showcase his abilities on the field. Unfortunately, at the end of the 2018-19 season, Sunderland released Shields, officially concluding his tenure with the club.
