Indian Army is the only services team to make it to the knockouts. They did that in 2021 too. Northeast United FC have got the easiest opponents of them all. The team under new head coach would be looking to go all the way to enter the ISL on a highly confident and positive note.

East Bengal FC vs Gokulam Kerala FC

Gokulam Kerala are the only I-League team to go through. Their qualification was sealed even before their final game against Bengaluru FC. After a disappointing season in I-League, Gokulam appointed Domingo Oramas as their new head coach. East Bengal are coached by ISL-winning coach Carles Cuadrat. Both new look teams would be vying to advance further in the competition.

They will play on August 25 at the Salt Lake Stadium.

FC Goa vs Chennaiyin FC

Whenever these two sides have met in the past, goals have been guaranteed. It’s the attacking grindset of both the teams that has made this fixture special. Both Chennai and Goa have familiar names but with new roles and situations. Owen Coyle-managed Chennai went three in three whereas Manolo Marquez-managed Goa scored the second most number of goals during the group stages.

The game will take place at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati on August 26.

Mumbai City FC vs Mohun Bagan SG

This could probably be the most high-profile game of them all. Since their wealthy takeovers, Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC have crossed paths on their quest to glory several times. The fourth and final quarterfinal of Durand Cup is to be held between these two titans at the Salt Lake Stadium on August 27.

Mohun Bagan are a reinforced side with several big money moves over the summer. But they haven’t had it easy so far as they lost out to neighbouring rivals East Bengal in the group stage and feared elimination through another neighbours Mohammedan SC. Mumbai City however, have went for the kill. The 12 they have scored is the highest in the tournament so far. A busier Bagan are still a threat to Des Buckingham’s unstoppable train.
