Edgardo Malvestiti to be the New Coach of Churchill Brothers for I-League 2023-24

After six months of negotiation, the Argentinan Coach, Edgardo Malvestiti has agreed to join the Goa side

Edgardo Malvestiti was a former professional football player who played for Newell’s Old Boys and Central Córdoba de Rosario. During his time in Central Córdoba de Rosario, he won the 1990–91 Primera B Metropolitana with 21 appearances in the Primera B Nacional.

After twelve years as a football player, Malvestiti decided to become a football manager and managed clubs throughout America, Argentina, Bolivia, El Salvador, and Peru. He managed Bolivian side Universitario de Sucre in 2017.

In 2020 he returned to the club where he began his playing career, Newell’s Old Boys, to coach the youth team and became assistant manager for Newell’s senior side by 2021.

Edgardo Malvestiti’s last managed club is Academia Deportiva Cantolao a Top-tier Peru club.

During his managerial career, he won the Bolivian League, Aerosur Cup and earned a qualification to the Copa Sudamericana.

Two-time I-League Champions Churchill Brothers look to finish on top of the league and earn a promotion to the top division-Indian Super League (ISL) next season.
