Izumi will join Carlos Santamarina in Inter Kashi’s debut venture
Inter Kashi Appointments Arata Izumi, a former professional football player as the assistant coach ahead of the 2023/24 Season I-league to make an impact on the team to help them achieve the performance that they expect alongside Carlos Santamarina.
After retiring from professional football Izumi took up the role of a youth coach with the Reliance Foundation Young Champs, the youth academy division for the Indian Super League (ISL). He looks forward to the new club which was established on 29th June 2023.
Izumi is a well-known Japanese-Indian football player during his career. He played for teams like Pune FC, Atletico De Kolkata, NEROCA, East Bengal and retired from his football career in Kerala Blasters.
He began his professional career in Albirex Niigata Singapore and went on to play for Mitsubishi Mizushima in Japan before moving to India.
Izumi also represented the Indian Football National team, after changing his Citizenship from Japan to India, he went on to play nine matches for India between 2013 and 2014.
As a player he can play anywhere in midfield, he likes to operate behind the striker or as a playmaker but he can also play as a winger for his crossing abilities.
In his club career, He made 300 appearances with 49 goals from 2005 to 2018.

Inter Kashi becomes the first national-level football club from India’s most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. The team is based in Varanasi.
Kolkata-based RDB Group of Companies have partnered with Atlético de Madrid, Andorran football club Inter Escaldes, and Gerard Pique-owned FC Andorra to launch the club.
Earlier, they appointed former ISL coach Carlos Santamarina as the head coach, and now Arata Izumi will start his new journey as the assistant coach. The club has shown strong ambition to compete in the I-League, India’s second-division football league.
