Kerala Blasters FC’s Bold Move: Aiban Dohling to Ignite Squad After FC Goa Stint!
Kerala Blasters FC is on the brink of securing Aiban Dohling from FC Goa, an exclusive revelation from IFTWC has confirmed.
According to IFTWC, the forthcoming deal will see Kerala Blasters shell out an estimated transfer fee of approximately 80 lakhs. Aiban is all set to commit to a two-year contract with his new team. As of now, the finalization of the deal hinges solely on the pending paperwork.
Aiban Dohling has spent the last four seasons honing his skills with ISL side FC Goa. His journey began at the prestigious Shillong Lajong Academy, subsequently advancing to TATA’s youth setup. His promise was evident during his tenure with the TATA academy, particularly in the age category I-League tournament, which garnered substantial interest.
Following a standout performance during trials in 2016, he earned a contract with then I-League contender Shillong Lajong. He debuted that season against Mohun Bagan and went on to participate in 25 matches for the team. In 2019, he embarked on a new chapter with FC Goa, inking a long-term deal.
Aiban’s first foray into the ISL came in 2019 with FC Goa, making his debut as a substitute against Jamshedpur FC. Throughout his stint with the Gaurs, he proudly donned their jersey in 52 appearances, contributing two goals and two assists.
Notably, Aiban clinched both the Hero ISL League Shield and the Durand Cup during his tenure with FC Goa. His unwavering reliability and versatility as a defender gained him recognition within the Gaur Army. His remarkable capability to excel in multiple positions across the backline drew the attention of prominent teams in the country.
