Odisha FC has successfully secured the signature of the highly sought-after midfielder, Puitea.
Puitea is all set to join Odisha FC from Mohun Bagan Super Giants. Puitea, renowned for his blistering pace, exceptional dribbling skills, and eye for goal, has been on the radar of several clubs. However, it is Odisha FC that has won the race to secure the signature of the prodigious talent.
“Puitea is not staying at Mohun Bagan and a main reason is the game-time. He is set to sign for Odisha FC. It will be a three-year deal which includes an undisclosed transfer fee.”

With the signings of Anirudh Thapa and Sahal Abdul Samad, the midfielder’s aim for a starting spot looked even slimmer than before. Hence, it could be that the former Kerala Blasters midfielder will be leaving the club after seven months.
Puitea had the best two seasons of his career with the Kerala Blasters. Nevertheless, the arrival of Ukrainian midfielder Ivan Kalyuzhny transformed everything. Thus, it became evident that the player refused a long-term contract.
Puitea had to take a look at other options, with the Ukranian coming in. Finally he went on to join Mohun Bagan Supergiants in the January window on a long-term deal. Hence, with Mohun Bagan Super Giant signing national team prolific midfielders Anirudh Thapa, and Sahal Abdul Samad, the 25-year-old Mizo midfielder is yet again forced to look at other choices.
For Puitea himself, the move represents a significant step forward in his professional career. Joining Odisha FC, a club renowned for providing a platform for talents to flourish, allows him to showcase his skills on a bigger stage and further develop his abilities.
As Odisha FC continues to build a formidable squad for the upcoming season, the signing of Puitea is undoubtedly a statement of intent. The club aims to make its mark in the highly competitive Indian Super League. Thus, the addition of such a promising young talent has only fueled the excitement surrounding their campaign.
Under Sergio Lobera, Odisha FC is looking for a very strong force. Along with Mourtada Fall, Ahmed Jahouh, Amey Ranawade, Jerry Lalrinzuala, and Roy Krishna, Puitea can bring a lot more to the side.
