Guarrotxena’s debut season in the ISL was nothing short of remarkable with 11 goals to his name, including a hat-trick against East Bengal. However, despite his outstanding performance, he and the club decided to part ways due to undisclosed personal reasons, ending his contract a year early. The departure leaves a void in the team and leaves fans with mixed emotions, appreciating his contributions while lamenting the loss of such a talented player.

Guarrotxena’s departure from the club compelled Goa to seek out potential replacements, but unlike previous instances where they bring on signing players they had been monitoring from Spain, this time they opted for a proven option in ISL.

Goa’s recent transfer activities have seen them make several notable foreign signings, with Victor becoming the fourth addition to the team. The 33-year-old midfielder joins the ranks alongside Spanish striker Carlitos, defender Odei Onaindia from Hyderabad FC, and Australian midfielder Paulo Retre.

These acquisitions highlight the club’s ambition to strengthen their squad with experienced and talented players from diverse backgrounds, adding depth and quality to their roster in preparation for the upcoming season.

Under Manolo Marquez’s leadership, Goa aims to excel against strong competitors in the league, delivering results and displaying their abilities.
