The new logo aligns with the general scheme of the City Football Group

Mumbai City FC have unveiled their new logo as they enter into their 10th Hero Indian Super League campaign this season. The new logo was presented before its supporters, players, and the Indian football community at an event in Mumbai.

             The new logo takes inspiration from the previous logo. Mumbai City FC’s new crest was designed with the input of fans. The fans voted for the inclusion of key elements that echo the identity of the city of Mumbai and the club. It contains the iconic ‘Bandra-Worli Sea Link’, the lifeline of Mumbai City the ‘Mumbai local train’ and the vast ‘Arabian Sea’.  Also, the circular crest signifies the club’s further integration into the City Football Group aligning the crest of Manchester City FC, Melbourne City FC, New York City FC, and other CFG clubs.

        The fans of Mumbai City FC agreed to add the round shape and City sky blue color of the club’s old crest and to add obsidian blue to the new design. The new crest also has the words “Mumbai City Football Club” prominently displayed around the outside. The new crest will be used as the club’s official mark of identity starting July 14, 2023. This signifies the club’s step into the future.

          Mumbai City FC’s new crest marked the beginning of a new chapter in the club’s history. The club has always aimed to build an institution that the people of Mumbai can relate to and be proud of. It was therefore essential that the supporters were involved in such a significant decision. The new crest preserves the club’s identity with a modern twist, while also visually aligning itself with the City Football Group family. The City Football Group has also completed the pending legal process to buy Mumbai City FC’s stakes.

The new PUMA Mumbai City 2023-24 home kit was also unveiled at the event. The kit was designed by sports brand PUMA India in Mumbai City’s iconic blue colors. Ranbir Kapoor and players from the Mumbai City FC First Team wore the kit for the first time.
